Description
A curvilinear bank, forming the northwestern side of field system NPRN 289783, shown on all editions of the 1:10560 Ordnance Survey map since 1891. On these maps it ran from Llyn Cwm-Byr at SN8193692627, northeast for approximately 400m up to the farmhouse at Bugeilyn at SN8222192870. It also formed the northwestern boundary of enclosure NPRN 289771 at its northern end. No longer depicted on Ordnance Survey maps, the feature was still very clear although its survival was patchy, particularly towards its southern end. On average it was 2m wide and 0.7m high. When recorded in July 2006, the vegetation cover was grass and burrowing animals were damaging the bank. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 18 December 2006
