Erected in 1893 by public subscription in memory of Edward James, Third Earl of Powis. Designed by T.E. Price. Local green granite. Comprises three distinct elements: hall, stage area and a service/entrance range to the rear. 5-bay hall with stylised hammer-beam trusses. Two sandstone window surrounds of circa 1700 with serpentine open pediment (reputed to have come from Powis Castle).
