Concrete base 16 x 8m. In the centre is a pit 4m deep, originally spanned by girders, now sheared off. The deepest part of the pit has a culvert flowing into it from the uphill (N) side, and a wide channel to downhill (S) side, where the water would have flowed under a concrete retaining wall into a weir 1m deep with concrete dam. Also on the concrete base are 2 concrete piers 2m high, one square-section the other of complex form. Concrete steps lead down from upper to mid-level, where there is a further concrete platform and a steep ramp leading under the concrete retaining wall (above) and into the 4m deep pit. Another flight of steps leads down to the dam and weir at the lowest level. Located within quarry (NPRN293131), the upper levels set into its quarried face.
