Site Record

Rectangular excavation, approx 22 x 4m. The overburden has been removed to create a flat bedrock surface, the overburden itself banked up to the sides. On the downhill side is a channel, approx 30m long, 4m wide and 0.5m deep, adjacent to Cwar yr Ystrad quarry (NPRN293163). Probably excavated to test for quarrying potential.
