Description
The remains of this aircraft are designated as a Controlled Site under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986. The Act makes it an offence to interfere with the wreckage of any crashed, sunken or stranded military aircraft without a licence. For further information on this Act and its administration with regard to aircraft, please contact the Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre, RAF Innsworth, Gloucester, GL3 1RZ.

The wreckage is scattered over 20m in five concentrations with a hollow or gouge measuring 3m x 7m to the north - possibly the impact point. Identifiable items reported include pieces of the wing (aerlons).

Event and Historical Information:
This Blenhein was assigned to 90 Squadron and was flying in formation with two others when it entered cloud on 23 March 1940. The aircraft tragically flew into Foel Wen. The crewmen killed were Pilot Sergeant Maurice Charles Cotterel; Observer Sergeant Ronald Jesse Harbour; and Wireless Operator/Air Gunner Aircraftman 2nd Class Kenneth Charles Winterton.
