Maesfron is a Regency -style villa built c.1829 for Francis Allen, solicitor. The house is 2-storeys with pebbledashed elevations and a low hipped slate roof. The later double hardwood part-glazed doors are within the original fluted Doric doorcase and cornice and three paned fanlight. There are two detached service buildings, two storey and single storey, around a cobbled service yard, once containing the detached kitchens. There are notable terraced gardens and garden features (see Nprn: 301608).
