18th century, decorated wrought iron double gates, with elaborate overthrow; moulded stone piers.

Rusticated piers with projecting moulded cornices and ball finials flank a pair of gates decorated with foliage and scroll work. The overthrow is surmounted by a coronet. The gates open onto a flight of steps leading up to the E entrance of the castle.
