Snead is a 2-storey timber (box)-framed, farmhouse, consisting of a pair of 2-bay parallel ranges, set gable-end facing the road, each having 4-tier square-framing. The early to mid C17th hall/parlour range has a central entry to its east side and is set forward from the slightly narrower kitchen/service range, which in construction is an addition, probably of the late C17th.
