Description
Monumental brick buildings forming a complex of engineering workshops, formerly rail-served, by H.B.Cresswell, 1901. Walls and buttresses in purple brindled brick supporting the wooden bow-string roof arranged in 50ft bays, with internal cast iron stanchions carrying gantry cranes. Believed to be used for munitions production during the First World War, with housing for the workers built nearby at Mancot Royal. Site is now a Manweb depot.
