Description
A long hut reduced to an embanked grassy outline, though partly cut into gently rising west-facing ground, measures about 6m (E-W) by 2.5m. The north long side is 3m wide and embanked to 0.5m high, the south long side is cut back 0.6m deep into the slope. The hood is 0.7m deep and the terrace is built out at the E end to 0.3m high. Some large stone blocks are visible especially at the east end and the south-east corner.
Conjoining on the north-east is a 'yard', similarly terraced and of similar shape and alignment, about 6m long and 3.5m wide. Defined on the south partly by the adjacent hut, elsewhere by a grassy bank/hood/lip. It is built out to 0.2m high and cut back to 0.4m deep.
