DescriptionWhat appears to be a previously unrecorded round cairn is located at the top of Penmoelallt at a point where the ground starts to fall away steeply to the N. It lies in a gap in the forestry, close to a fire-break.
Composed of medium-large grade stones consolidated with grass and heather, it measures 10m (N-S) by 9.5m and 1m high. Although the top of the mound is uneven it appears to be undisturbed.
Just beyond the N edge of the cairn is a hollow and 15m or so further is an outcrop exposure.
