DescriptionNAR SS97NW34
A bivallate roughly square enclosure is located on a NW-facing slope on the S side of the A48. The enclosed area measures 45m square. The double bank and ditch system, 12m across overall can now only be seen clearly on the SE and SW sides, maximum height 0.4m.
Roughly parallel with the NW side a scarp overlays the NE side near the corner continuing nearly 20m beyond it. Close to the SE side, and parallel with it lies a bank 0.6m high and 65m further S lies a lynchet 0.8m high and some 200m long (E-W) extending across three fields. The SW side has now largely disappeared.
The site has suffered from recent ploughing.
