Description
Possible Bronze Age round barrow described by C.A.R. (undated). No mound was seen at the above given N.G.R. (SJ 17487351). A little to the E lies a turf-covered mound measuring 23m (NW-SE) by 20m and 0.75m high. Superficially the mound looks like a Bronze Age tumulus though the entire field is marked by undulations, and firm evidence of mining lies nearby.
The site is possibly that described by C.A.R. though no depressions are visible in this mound. The field is now under pasture and it has recently been ploughed.
