Description
1947 aerial photo shows an area south west of Hendre Quarry which is a mixture of both quarring and mining. There is a relatively small quarry at NGR SN72076942. Spoil tips and mine shafts at NGRs SN72076940, SN72116934 and SN72076939. There are several linear banks surrounding the area as well. However as Hendre Quarry is still in use and has expanded significantly since the 1940s it is unlikely that these features continue to survive.
