1. Dovecot restored following excavation and the masonry walls now stand to about 0.8m. It is surrounded by a modern protective fence which has been used as a rubbing post by livestock and consequently the NW and NE scarps of the platform on which it stands have been badly defaced.

2. Excavation, 1982, uncovered remains of a circular dovecote, 6.2m in diameter, presumably that mentioned in 1433-4 & 1491-2.
