Located on asaddle between Moel y Llyn and Moel y Garn, the mound measures 16.5m (NW-SE) by 12.5m with a height of 0.8m on the SW. On the NE side the mound grades down to 0.2m, probably the result of disturbance which has left the mound with a slightly hollowed centre. At a distance of 10.5m NE from the centre of the mound is a smaller mound measuring 4.5m in diameter and 0.5m high, probably spoil from the aforementioned disturbance.
The cairn is turf covered and overgrown with nettles and rushes.
