Description
St Peter's church is located on the south side of the B4355 between Dolfor and Beguildy, set back from the road in a rectangular churchyard. The church was built in 1854-5 to designs of Henry Lote. It is constructed of squared rubble with paler dressings under slate roofs, and consists of nave and narrower chancel with west bellcote and west entrance in north long wall. Windows are wide on the north and south in Perpendicular style, Decorated style to the chancel. The chancel arch is mounted on corbelled wall-posts.
Renovation work was carried out in 1967 by George Pace when clear glass was inserted in the windows. The church is now closed and boarded up (2011).
