Description
Early C19 house, probably built shortly after the creation of the Turnpike road in the 1820s.

The house is two-storeyed with a single storey hipped-roof flanking range to either side. It is constructed of rubblestone, externally rendered, with ceramic ridge tiles to the hips and hooped cresting and finials to the short ridge. There are substantial integral end stacks with 20th century chimney pots.

The entrance is centrally placed and hung with a 20th century half glazed door and overlight. The windows are 16-paned sashes throughout, being slightly smaller on the first floor, and there is a blind window over the door. the left wing has a 12-pane sash window on the first floor.
