DescriptionPenbryn was a double-pile house with eighteenth-century origins, remodelled in the 1840s and replanned in about 1870 by Sir Lewis Morris, the poet. The house was notable for the painted inscriptions on the beams and cornices of some of the principal rooms. The house was much altered before its demolition in the 1990's.
