Description
About 30m W of the enclosure NPRN 301836 is a length of bank consisting of small boulders up to 0.3m high which can be traced for a short distance N before it merges with an area of dense boulder scatter. A vague bank 1.5m wide and 0.3m high is possibly the continuation of this feature, discernible amongst the boulders. Beyond the later wall a bank can be traced N for c.65m. Consisting of small boulders, it measures 1.5m wide and 0.4m high. It forms the W limit of a cleared area beyond which lies dense boulder scatter. Roughly halfway along, a length of bank 1m wide and 0.2m high, projects a short distance to the SW. At its N end the bank turns E and fades out. A slight earthen bank c.2.5m wide and 0.3m high possibly connects it with the E end of a vague boulder bank running NE-SW. The bank measures 1m wide and 0.5m high at its E end fading to the W as it approaches a steep natural slope which forms the W limit of the site. To the NE of this bank lies a probable clearance pile measuring 4.5m (E-W) by 3.5m and 0.5m high.
