Description
This Ca 1800, stone and brick built, 5 unit, lean-to pig-sty & yard range has an exceptional dressed south elevation of evenly coursed sand-stone blocks. The doorways are of finely dressed sand-stone with chamfered and straight-cut stops and have a 3-centered lintel. The dressed stonework is similar to the adjacent coach-house.
Each pig-sty unit is square in area with the same size open yard and doorway. The walls are lined with brick internally and there is a brick floor. The main external yard wall is in stone while each unit is divided by brick walls. A slate roof covering is supported on rafters and a single purlin.
