DescriptionLocated in a sharply-profiled hollow which opens out from an east-facing slope, on the immediate west side of a track which leads from the B4576 to Bwlch yr Oerfa, the spring was observed after heavy rainfall in Autumn 2000.
In dry weather the springhead is a shallow, wet hollow surrounded by rushes.
Previously unnoted, this spring may give a clue to the origin of the name 'Mynydd y Ffynnon'.
