There are slight remains of cottages, outbuildings, yards and gardens, set in an old quarry on the north-facing slopes above Trebanog. These are depicted on early editions of the OS County series mapping (Glamorgan. XXVII.12 1874-1919), being shown at their fullest extent on the third edition of 1919. Only footings now remain and these have been recorded.
There were two cottage rows, known as 'Castell-coryn' & 'Glawty Cottages' from 1900. They were built on a broad terrace in the quarried ground, at the foot of quarried faces on the south-east & south-west. The slopes below to the north-east have also been quarried. Away from the quarry faces the terrace is enclosed by a curving bank and the area beyond to the north-west shows cultivation ridges. From above it is apparent that the terrace was once fully enclosed although this was no longer the case by 1874.
