Exposed wooden timbers were observed at this location during a RCAHMW site visit to the wreck of the HELVETIA (see NPRN 273914) on 08 April 2024. The exposed timbers seem likely to be frame ends, and their location, 24m south-southwest of the stem post of the main wreck, suggest that they are part of the surviving hull structure buried beneath the sand.
