Description
The remains of a field system, an enclosure and hut circle, and a second possible hut circle lie on the sloping nose of a ridge between 250m and 310m above O.D. on the W slopes of Mynydd Du.
The hut circle with conjoined enclosure lies at the SW end of the site on the lower part of the ridge slope. The circle, which appears to have been slightly platformed by scooping into the hillslope on the SE and building out on the NW, measures 6m in diameter and has a slight W facing entrance gap. The enclosure measures 20m across overall. Both are bounded by partly turfed-over rubble walls averaging 1.5m wide and up to 0.3m high.
