DescriptionTrewern, Newport, is a 3-unit, 2-storey and attic, 5-window front lateral chimney house. The house probably dates from the 17th century. It has a gabled storeyed porch with a pointed doorway. To the rear is a projecting stair turret, probably 18th century. All original windows have been replaced with sashes; originally it is likely they were of mullion and transom. Surviving over the porch are original wooden lintels which have the ogee and ovolo moulding also found inside. Internally there are broad oak stairs and oak panelling.
