Description
Proposed route of Roman road from the Caer Gai military settlement (NPRN 95436) to the general area of Dolgellau, more recently associated with the military site at Brithdir (NPRN 95480).
This is a disused modern road, probably a turnpike, and was published as such with the assumption that it would have closely followed the line of a notional Roman road. The road is very well preserved where it passes around the hill of Caer Gai.
This route has been connected with the notorous 'Brithdir triangle', also modern roads that have been identified as Roman (see NPRN 91903; 309197).
