Description
An unusual and interesting megalithic monument, comprising the ruins of a line of chambered tombs, of which the remains of three or possibly four are currently visible. These retain side stones or orthstats and capstones in place. These sit on the western edge of a probable denuded cairn. The site has long been visited by antiquarians. It was classed as a segmented cist by Chris Houlder in 1978 but this would be without parallel in south Wales. For a definitive account see Barker, C T, 1992, The Chambered Tombs of South-west Wales, Oxbow Monograph 14, pages 16-17 (site 8).
