Bryn Cynon enclosure, Cellan, is a banked and ditched oval enclosure, about 120m north-east to south-west by 100m, set upon a low knoll, resting on scarps above the Teifi floodplain on the west. Limited excavations, from 1979 to 1988, produced evidence for Bronze Age occupation/activity, apparently associated with a palisaded enclosure, underlying the current enclosure circuit, which is thought to have had a timber and stone revetment. An unspecified pottery sherd may indicate later prehistoric occupation.
