The Bignen earthwork features are set on ground falling to the SW. A segment of curvilinear bank, thought to represent an enclosure, at least c.53m NE-SW by 48m, the remainder having been ploughed down, the pattern of cultivation being portrayed on OS County series (1889). Some 40m to the SW is a c.70m length of NE-SW-WSW bank.
