Type Of SiteDEFENDED ENCLOSURE
PeriodPrehistoric
Description1. A subrectangular enclosure, about 94m north-west to south-east by 54m, embanked, with strongly rounded corners, a gap at the south-west angle is thought unlikely to represent an original feature; the bank material appears to have come from the lowered and levelled interior; there are no traces of a ditch.

2. The form and shape of the enclosure currently defy a simple interpretation of date and function. The enclosure could be a Neolithic henge, but is of rectangular rather than oval form, and therefore could be a defensive or domestic enclosure of Iron Age or Roman date. Recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance.
