DescriptionCastell Gwyn is a jelly-bean shaped enclosure, about 62m NNW-SSE by 40m, set within a D-shaped triple array of ramparts and ditches, generally 140-150m across; the complex is draped across a west-facing ridge-top spur, its straight edge resting on steep natural scarps above the Eastern Cleddau valley on the north: this complex is overlooked by a cropmark enclosure (Nprn402413) occupying a ridge-top summit some 140m to the north-east, that has been seen as a ritual, rather than as a settlement feature.
