DescriptionBroadway enclosure is an oval banked and ditched enclosure, about 90m north-south by 56m, having an east facing entrance. A limited excavation yielded radio-carbon dates indicating a 5th century BC date for pre-enclosure activity; the site produced a Romano-British pottery sherd. The enclosure appears to have been cut across by a linear bank (Nprn400415), itself later than the Roman road to the north (Nprn309504).
