DescriptionWoodside camp is a roughly D-shaped, banked and ditched enclosure, about 35m across, having a west facing entrance set in a straight facade, without which proceeds a roughly 80m ditched and banked approach way. From this depended further enclosures/delineated areas, connected with those about Dan-y-coed enclosure (Nprn309509), set about 60m to the south-south-east; the approach way was superceded by an isolated segment of west facing bank and ditch.
Near total excavation indicated a complex occupation sequence, involving circular and four-post structures, dated through radio-carbon and material assemblage to between the 2nd century BC and the earlier 2nd century AD.
