DescriptionCastell-y-Fuwch is a roughly polygonal enclosure, measuring c.70m NNE-SSW by 62m. It is a defined by a bank and ditch, sometimes with a counterscarp, set on ground falling briskly to the SSW. Of the several breaks in the rampart, that on the west may represent an original entrance; an additional stretch of bank and ditch runs for about 70m from the north angle, seeming to enclose an annex at least 35m deep: at least six rectangular structures, generally 9.0m by 5.0m, some terraced into the slope, lie within the enclosure, with a further example set on the outer lip of the northern ditch.
