The oval, embanked, but ploughed-down enclosure at Tavern Farm measures 36m west-north-west to east-south-east by 30m, having a north-facing entrance. It is set towards the south-eastern end of an area of apparent relict field boundaries, extending roughly 430m north-west to south-east by 230m, across ground falling to the south-west.
