Description
The cairn is located on the spine of a broad ridge, in a fire-break in a forestry plantation. It has been seriously damaged and almost levelled by the construction of a nearby building and a shelter wall.
The cairn measures some 9m (E-W) by 8m, the uneven surface about 0.3m high and overgrown with bilberry and mosses. Loose stones have been piled up on its north edge to form a shelter wall. To the north-east of the cairn, within the fire-break, is a small building 5.5m long (NE-SW) by 2.5m-3m wide defined by two gable-like end walls of roughly piled stones, 0.65m thick and 1.4m high, probably sourced from the cairn.
