A roughly semi-circular enclosure, about 88m north-east to south-west by 58m, occupying a promontory above the conflence of two steep-sided stream valleys; the enclosure rests on steep natural slopes to the south-east and is defined elsewhere by a bow of double banks and ditches, having a probable entrance at the north-eastern angle, approahed by a terrace-way, which has been seen as being an original feature.
