Roman road (RR642) traced N from the military settlemet at Caersws (Nprn92468); the intial three mile section (Nprn400358) being noted & surveyed by the 19th C., other sections recorded from aerial reconnaissance & survey - see Jones 1961, 183ff. - to that at Caer Gai (Nprn95436) - see Britannia 26 (1995), 328; Britannia 26 (1996), 391-2; Jones et al. 1998; Putnam and Toller 2001.
