Description
A stone chamber cut into hill-slope, 0.6m square and 0.8m high, partially capped by a stone slab, 1.2m long.

2. Traditionally, the well, which is likely medieval in date, was ascribed healing properties, and a number of bent pins, coins, and buttons were reported found there in the 1890s. Coins were also found during visits undertaken during the scheduling process in the 2010s. The well house is constructed of undressed Old Red Sandstone with a pair of boulder walls outside of the chamber forming an irregular, 1.5m pool through which the water runs into a narrow valley stream. To the rear of the structures is a rocky path which runs along the valley to the well on eastern slopes of Mynydd Garn Wen.
