Two elongated mounds block the approach to a promontary in Castle Wood above the Dee.
The mounds, c.84m E-W by 22m and 2.4-3.2m high, and c.48m E-W by 18m and 1.2-1.3m high respectively, have been interpreted as the remains of a castle or IA enclosure.
Possibly pillow mounds, natural features or spoil heaps.
