DescriptionThe settlement features to the east of Pant-y-Rhiw are part of a medieval farmstead (NPRN 509936). The near oval enclosure is composed of straight sections, within a sheltered north-facing hollow and is approximately 50m from north to south by 40m. The bank is up to 3m wide and 1m high, with a ditch on the outer side, the most substantial sections of which are on the upper, southern, side. The lower, northern, side is partly open, and there is a long hut (NPRN 509942) and a natural pond. The banks are 1.5m wide and 0.3m high.
On the eastern side of the enclosure are two banks of another, probably contemporary enclosure, between which runs a long, later boundary bank (NPRN 509642).
