Gentry house of circa 1830. Two storey stuccoed walls under hipped slate roofs with broad eaves; unusual hornless small-pane sash glazing with marginal glazing bars and triangular blocks to corners. Three bays; central semi-octagonal bay with small-pane sash over projecting splayed bay window; similar treatment to outer bays. Coverted to school circa 1890, with two-storey yellow brick extension built at rear. New school buildings were built after Second World War.
