Ramoth (1) Baptist chapel, Tan-lan, was first built in 1787; the chapel measured 12 by 9 yards; it had benches and a gallery and was extended. There were works in 1822. In 1865 the ceiling was installed and a new roof added and the gallery was taken down. Further repairs were carried out in 1879 (BCS database). The chapel is shown on OS Merionethshire Sheet X1 NW mapping (1901). It stood in the old cemetery, at Tan-lan, its site marked by post-1904 headstones towards the south-east corner of the cemetery. The chapel was replaced by Ramoth (2) in 1904 (NPRN: 8499).

Status (2003): demolished.
