Description
Cwmavon Brewery is a five storey tower brewery built in 1900 by leading brewery architects George Adlam & Sons of Bristol, for Charles Westlake. The tower is flanked by lower offices and ancillary ranges. The building was located alongside the Afon Llwyd to take advantage of the water supply.

The whole complex including the manager's house and offices has been sympathetically restored externally in recent years. The building is constructed of Pennant sandstone dressed with red brick including quoins, band courses and jambs with a slate roof with offset hipped clerestory. The former brewery is currently in use as a plastics factory and it is listed as a scarce surviving example of a grand Victorian brewery in Wales.
