Description
1) A complex stone-walled sheepfold on Garreg Fawr, comprising 15 cells opening onto a central court, the whole resting against the foot of steep crags on thev E; changes in layout are apparent between 1st & 3rd eds. of OS County series (Caernarvon. VIII.5 1889, 1914) & current mapping: there are indications of an earlier curvilinear walled enclosure underlying the W part of the complex & partially visible to W.

2) The enclosure is evident on the ground as a low earth bank with a small amount of stone eroding from the downslope side. Traces of possible hut platforms exist within the sheepfold itself. Similarities with the enclosed hut group to the NNW but could just represent an earlier phase of the sheepfold.
