The opening to a level, about 2m across, is now blocked but was accessed directly from the A44 road 10m away on the S.
To the NE lie two circular depressions. ONe of these was probably also a 'Shaft (Lead)' marked on the 1st ed 25 inch, and as Old Shaft on the 2nd. The other depression may have been caused by tunnel collapse.
Features visible on aerial photographs Shown on 1st ed OS 25-inch plan as 'Level', and on 2nd edition as 'Old Leve', by this time surrounded by a depression.
