Site Record

Pencerrig is a large 17th century house much altered in the 19th century. It was the home of Welsh landscape painter and architect, Thomas Jones (1742-1803). The house has a central stair passage. There is some suggestion of earlier work in the rear, but all visible evidence is late 18th century. The house has been a hotel since 1958.
