Description
1. Design attributed to William Winde. Probably constructed between 1668 and 1705. The stone steps running either side of the projecting centrepiece have brick parapets with moulded stone copings. The brick wall between them is probably a C20 reconstruction, although surmounted by the original stone balustraded parapet. Forms the lower tier of terraces to the S of the castle.
