Description1. Reached from the Vale of Neath (A465) road at Ynysarwed via an original stone-arched bridge over the Neath Canal. The charging hole, at the top of the kiln, is on a level with the canal bank. The kiln discharging on the valley side of the waterway, as on nearly all the Welsh canalside kilns.

2. The kiln was completely intact when visited in 1979.

3. Ty Bont Limekiln is accessible from the A465 road at Ynysarwed by an original stone arched bridge over the Neath Canal. As with nearly all Welsh canalside kilns, this was built into the side of the canal on the valley side so that its top was at charging level.
